Nation Geographic has redesigned this tool to support interactive mapping on tablets.
Three New Features have been added to help you view and customize maps

  • Saving Maps
     - Customize the map and save to make it your own.
  • Bookmarks
     - Bookmarks let you experience and create geographic stories. Scroll through the bookmarks in the bottom bookmarks bar. Save your own customized views of the map as bookmarks.
  • Drawing Tools 
    - Add location markers, draw on the map, and measure distances. You can add notes to markers and drawings from the link settings in the edit panel. Click the edit button and then click a marker or drawing to see the edit panel

Saving Maps
Customize the map and save it to make it your own with bookmarks, drawings, labels, and more. To save your map, you will need to enter your email address and the system will send you a set of links to use to edit and share your map.

Bookkmarks
Add pages to your geographic story. With bookmarks you can save customized views of the map. Then share your geographic story with others by saving and emailing or posting to social media.

Drawing Tools
Drop pins or location markers, or draw right on the map. You can attach notes to these points for later via the link settings below the edit button.three
