Find Your Beach
I like going to the beach and actually grew up on the Lake Michigan beach that I added to this map.
So, to add to the crowd sourced information, I added Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park in Door County.

Boxing Day 2004 tsunami: then and now Swipe Map
A decade after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, which claimed the lives of over 230,000 people, this satellite imagery shows the redevelopment of five of the worst affected areas. This is one of the greatest scars that I have ever visually witnessed in a map showing the great loss by showing before and after pictures of the tsunami in Indonesia.

11. SpyGlass

Spyglass on the Past: New York City 1836 and Today
New York City in 1836, as depicted on a map from the David Rumsey collection, compared to a modern satellite image of the city. Move the spyglass around the image to reveal New York city today and how it looked in 1836. Notice that the lake in Central Park was just a swamp many years ago.
